Cruising through Pinterest today there were some fun new wedding signs that popped up. Specifically chalkboard signs. It is a trend right now but one that I happen to like. The idea is easily adapted for many areas of your venue and whether you are using chalkboards other materials, like burlap or old boards it is a great leaping off place.
There are many videos available on You Tube on creating Chalkboard signs. The one above shows an easy project to tackle for a drink menu at the reception or rehearsal dinner. There are several You Tube videos by John Neal that show how to practice and lay out the words and artwork before starting on the board itself.
I would probably find someone like John Neal (only local since he is in England) to do the artwork for me since I am not at all good with that aspect of creating. Finding someone who can add an artistic and professional flare to the signs makes a memorable statement at your event. Plus…it just looks better!
Overall this type of signage adds a lot of visual appeal and interest at your event. Not to mention less stress on the pocket-book from the traditional printed programs.
Have fun with it!
